Alexander Gutterud

Alexander (Alex) Gutterud, is an Associate Attorney who litigates matters in diverse areas of practice.

Originally from the Twin Cities, Minnesota, Mr. Gutterud moved to California to attend the University of California, Irvine. Continuing on at California Western School of Law, Alexander served as the Executive Director of Notes and Comments for the International Law Journal, worked as a research assistant studying international cryptocurrency and digital currency laws, helped reestablish California Western’s Amnesty International chapter, and achieved notable success in legal competitions. As California Western Jessup International Law Moot Court Team’s writer and researcher, Alexander helped his team achieve the notable distinction of being the only United States team to advance and compete internationally, earning the law school and his team a 9thplace out of 674 law schools around the world. For his achievement, Alexander received the Distinguished Advocate Award in the William C. Lynch Appellate Competition.

Mr. Gutterud is a key member of the Aguirre & Severson legal and trial team, where he works on complex litigation, business disputes, Constitutional law issues, real estate and land matters, fraud, and class actions. Mr. Gutterud values clear communication and strong working relationships with clients, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout every stage of their case.

When not seeking justice for his clients, Mr. Gutterud is passionate about music and history, always eager to expand his knowledge and share it with others.
